Alex Ginzburg was born in Argentina and is a graduate of the medical school at La Plata University in Argentina.
In 1978 Dr. Ginzburg immigrated to Israel, where he completed his specialization in dermatology in 1987 at the Rabin Medical Center, Beilinson Campus. Through 2000, he remained on staff there as chief physician in the Department of Dermatology and also taught dermatological surgery.
Dr. Ginzburg specialized in surgical dermatology with Professor Camacho in Seville, Spain. In 1981, he studied the basics of hair restoration in the United States with Dr. Gary Monheit and Dr. Daniel Russo in Birmingham, Alabama. This was followed by further study with Dr. Pierre Bouhana and Dr. Patrick Rabubineau in Paris and Dr. Walter Unger in Toronto.
Since 1992, Dr. Ginzburg has performed over 3,500 hair transplants in Israel. He is the most experienced and senior physician in the field and is the only dermatologist to perform this procedure in Israel.
In recognition of his skills, in1998 Dr. Ginzburg was invited to the Romanian Plastic Surgery Society to teach hair transplants in Bucharest.
Dr. Ginzburg is a member of the International Society of Dermatological Surgery (ISDS). In 1998 he directed a hair transplant workshop at an ISDS meeting in Baja, Brazil. A year later, he conducted a hair transplant workshop and a course on the subject at an ISDS meeting in Athens, Greece.
In 2000, Dr. Ginzburg conducted hair transplant courses in Paris, San Paulo and Madrid, and in 2001 directed a hair transplant workshop in Guadalajara, Mexico.
For the past nine years he has attended all the international conferences on hair transplants, and he has been the only Israeli representative at these conferences.
In 2002, Dr. Ginzburg led a hair transplant workshop in Poona, India, where he instructed and performed seven hair transplants in the presence of 50 Indian doctors.
During that same year, he attended the International Aesthetics Conference in Bucharest, where he also performed a hair transplant.
In July 2002, he lectured at hair transplant conferences in London and Paris, and in September 2002, directed a hair transplant workshop at the International Conference of Dermatological Surgery in Puerto, Portugal.
Activities in 2003:
February – Conducted research on hair transplants in Orlando and gave a number of lectures on the topic.
May – Participated in the European Conference for Hair Transplants in Berlin, where he lectured and performed hair transplants.
June –Lectured at the International Conference on Hair Research in Barcelona.
September – Performed hair transplants at the ISDS in Berlin.
November – Was invited to Bangalore and Poona in India, where he performed 13 transplants in five days.
December – Received two awards at the International Hair Transplant Conference in New York for his work on hair transplants.

February – Was invited to attend a hair transplant workshop in Orlando, together with other physicians from around the world.
June – Lectured on hair transplants at the International Conference for Hair Research in Berlin.
July –Was invited to Istanbul, Turkey, where he conducted a workshop on hair transplants using the new method – FUE. In addition, he was the first to perform a transplant in Turkey, where hair was taken from the chest and transplanted to the scalp.
August – Was invited to report on his research at the International Hair Transplant Conference in Vancouver, Canada.
September – Attended a series of lectures on hair transplants at the ISDS conference in Barcelona.

March – Was invited to perform a hair transplant at the workshop of Hair Restoration Surgery in Orlando.
May – Was invited to the Reunion Annual Dermatologos Latinoamerica (RADLA 3000 participants) in Buenos Aires, Argentina to lecture on hair transplants.
June – Was invited to the Italian Congress for Hair Transplants in Modena, where he lectured on hair transplants in Cicatricial Alopecia.
July – Lectured on different techniques for hair transplants at the World Congress of Cosmetic Dermatology, Paris, France.
August –Lectured at the International Hair Transplant Congress in Sydney, Australia.
September - Directed a hair transplant course at the ISDS in Dublin, Ireland.
October – Was invited to lecture on the subject of What's new in hair transplants at the Congress Ibero-latinoamericano of Dermatology (CILAD) in Cartagena, Colombia.
December – Visited the Kolasinski Hair Transplant Clinic in Posnam, Poland.

March - Was invited to perform a hair transplant at the workshop on hair restoration surgery in Orlando, USA.
May – Was invited to an international congress on anti-aging in Paris, where he lectured on hair transplants as an anti-aging treatment.
June - Was invited to lecture at an international congress of South American doctors in the Dominican Republic and to share his 15 years of experience in hair transplant surgeries.
August - Directed a hair transplant course at the ISDS Congress in Istanbul, Turkey.
October - Chairman and a lecturer at a workshop at the International Hair Transplant Congress, San Diego, United States.
December - Visited Sahyadri Hospital in Pune, India. Dr. Ginzburg was invited to train the staff.

March - Was invited to lecture on a new technique of hair transplants and to perform hair transplants at the workshop on hair restoration surgery in Orlando, USA.
May - Was invited to lecture at the European Academy of Dermatology in Vienna, Austria.
Was invited to lecture at the Italian Society of Hair Restoration Surgery in Milan, Italy.
September – Dr. Ginzburg was invited to the International Congress of Hair Transplants in Las Vegas, where 2 of his staff trained 43 nurses at the hair transplant workshop.
October - Was the chairman of the symposium on cosmetic dermatology at the International Congress of Dermatologists in Argentina.
At the end of October, Dr. Ginzburg was invited to a Congress of Dermatologic Surgery in Venice, where he led a course on hair transplants.

April - was invited to lecture in a workshop, Orlando, USA.
May - was invited to lecture and to be a member of the faculty at the 1st Asian workshop of hairtransplant and also Perform a surgery of FUE , Seoul, Korea.
June - was invited to lecture and to be a member of the faculty at the European Society of hairtransplant. Madrid. Spain.
September - Lectured at the International Hair Transplant Congress in Montreal, Canada, he also was member of the faculty of the congress and organized the course of beginers.
October - Dr. Ginzburg was invited to a Congress of Dermatologic Surgery in Las Vegas, where he led a course on hair transplants.
In the same month Dr. Ginzburg was invited to lecture on the subject of what's new in hair transplants at the congress Ibero-latinamericano of dermatology (CILAD) in Quito, Ecuador.
November - Dr. Ginzburg performed Hair Transplant in vivo at the Congress of Dermatologic surgery in Franckfurt, Germany where participated 600 Dermatologics.
Activities in 2009:
January - A book by Dr. Ginzburg was published: "Hair - the answer to hairloss and balding". The book is being sold at branches of the Steimatzky and Tsomet Sfarim book shops.
March - Dr. Ginzburg was invited to perform a hair transplant at the workshop on hair restoration surgery in Orlando, USA.
May - Dr. Ginzburg was invited to an International Conference on dermatological surgery in Thailand, to lecture on Hair Transplants. There he also performed a Hair Transplant in the presence of the doctors taking part in the conference.
July - Dr. Ginzburg was one of the organizers of the International Conference on Hair Transplants in Amsterdam, Holland, where he also lectured on a new technique for the removal of scarring in the transplant area.
At this conference, Dr. Ginzburg was elected as one of the directors of the International Organization for Transplants.
September - Dr. Ginzburg was invited to an International Conference on dermatological treatments in Argentina. 2,500 doctors from all over the world participated. Dr. Ginzburg gave a workshop on the subject of new treatments for hairloss and innovations in Hair Transplants.
In the same month, he was invited to perform a Hair Transplant in Santiago, Chile, at a National Conference of dermatologists from Chile.
November - Dr. Ginzburg organized an International Conference in Israel at Tel Hashomer Hospital with the participation of 14 doctors from different countries. At this conference, lectures were given by some of the foremost experts on Hair Transplant and 4 Transplants were also performed.
December - Dr. Ginzburg was invited to India, as a guest speaker for the first Indian conferense on Hair Transplant. He also performed a Hair Transplant in front of the conference participants.
